About Marta Pawlowski
Born and raised in Nowa Sol, Poland.
Since childhood, I have been passionate about drawing and painting, it is one of the gifts God has given to me, I give Him glory through it, He restored my life completely. Painting was therapy for me from the bullying I went through in school when I was 9 years old.
Completed landscape architecture in college and joined the school choir which provided opportunities for me to travel and see many forms of art including musicals, ballet, and opera.
I spent a couple of months in England, Reading in Berkshire and then in Kingston Upon Hull, where I continued creating art such as custom wall paintings and canvas oil paintings.
Upon returning to Poland, I began attending free drawing and painting classes at the Community Hall in my hometown. When we finished we, organized an exhibition of our painting. Preparing for an integration trip to the Czech Republic, I also did a clay sculpture and took singing lessons. This was a summer camp with young people from other European countries. There I attended the Žamberk Community Hall to participate in their culture of art, which was a mosaic of colorful leather work, wax painting, creating earrings, decorating cookies, and more.
I volunteered at Environmental Home Self-Help, a day support center with the goal of teaching independent living to improve the lives of people with mental disorders. My job was to spend time with and encourage them to participate in workshops such as canvas oil painting, glass painting, ceramic painting, card making, jewelry, and other crafts.
My painting subjects are landscape, wildlife, portraits, places I've been and places that surround me today. It's my statement to the world and to those who have already forgotten the true meaning of art. To find the meaning of life, we have to seek the One Who created us.
My style is Impressionism, Expressionism and Realism.
Other artistic interests: Murals, Glass Art, Ceramic Art, Clay Sculpture, Wood Carving, Jewelry, Fashion Design, Photography, Videography, Singing, Dancing (worship with flags), and writing poems.
Living with my husband in Calgary, Alberta, Canada since 2012.
